Double-click the OpenOffice icon on your desktop and click Presentation to open Impress. Click the Open Existing Presentation radio button and then click Open. Browse to where your PPT file is located and click Open to see the PPT file. With Impress, you can not only view the presentation but also edit it.
If you don't have PowerPoint installed on your computer, you can still open and view presentations by using PowerPoint for the web or PowerPoint on your mobile device. If you have Windows 10 on your computer, you can install PowerPoint Mobile to view presentations.

PPT files can be opened with any version of Microsoft PowerPoint. If it was created with versions of PowerPoint older than v8.
Right-click the file and select Properties. In the Properties dialog box, look for an Unblock button near the bottom right. If it exists, click Unblock, then click Apply, and then click OK to dismiss the dialog box. Now, attempt to open the presentation again.
Open an Existing Presentation Click the File tab. Click Open. Press Ctrl + O Select the location where the file is saved. Recent displays a list of presentations that you've recently opened Locate and double-click the file you want to open.
