Questions & answers

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Some organisations are reluctant to upload PPTX files to their website requesting PDFs instead. They have never given a reason. Why would they have this preference? None of our clients would upload their pptx files to their internet site. The mostmon reason pptx files are (obviously) editable. So if you take an officialpany presentation change the figures and then try to claim that thepany (say a bank) made incorrect investment assumptions then this would be a bit if a mess. The bank would need to prove that your version of the file was manipulated which is quite easy to do but is a hassle for all concerned. And hassle = cost. So even though you wouldn have a chance of winning a frivolous case like that nobody wants to waste time and money on crap like that. Also if someone is not careful then when they add a chart to a pptx file they may include more information in the underlying data than they may actually want to share publicly. So again - PDF is preferred as the PDF will not contain the underlying data - just images of the charts.
PDFs are notpressed overall they are files ding various objects. Some of those objects can optionally be encoded using a number ofpression schemes eg gzip or JPEG but it is not required by the standard. A native file format is pretty much guaranteed to be smaller it is structured and only needs to be understood by the application which uses it. So it could include nothing more than gantt chart with 24 columns and that sufficient for PowerPoint to render the entire thing. PDFs can also be very small. A document can be reduced to simple vector primitives and and those can further bepressed. For some applications which natively produce PDF output it can lead to very small file sizes smaller than the original. However most applications output PDFs using a printing pipeline. These are not optimised for file size but forpatibility they often rasterise much of the content as a high quality as a PNG even though it was originally a JPEG). Alternatively they can output a great deal of information which isn visible like hidden layers or entire s (which may be lossy). Often these can dramatically reduce the file size but by how much depends on how the PDF is constructed.
Only for PDF Documents use Adobe Acrobat Reader - Android Apps on Google Play s app which has some needed options. But I rmend you to use any office apps so that u can work with all kind of documents like .doc .docx .xls .xlsx .PDF .ppt .pptx .txt and etc Some of the best office apps are WPS Office + PDF - Android Apps on Google Play s OfficeSuite + PDF Editor - Android Apps on Google Play s
Having aputer convert from PDF to anything more semantic is rough. PDF typically does not store any semantic information. Until the dayes that our AI is good enough to read and understand a paper you must have people do much of the work if you want a good job. Howeverputers can do somewhat. Much depends on the particular PDFs. Yet even with the most favorable options that the PDF has the and the mathematical formulae are also in the best that can be done is a poor conversion that you may have to edit by hand to fix. Much much better if at all possible and it was digital is to obtain the source from which the PDF was created. PDFs of older research papers that were originally printed may be only scanned s and a quick Optical Character Recognition (OCR) job so that there will be some uncorrected that can be copied and pasted. Or the can be while the mathematical formulae are generated s of you would have to extract the s then run them through an OCR program such as Tesseract. And then go over the OCRed to fix all the errors. For instance prettymon to see rn mistaken as m so that the word burn is mistaken as bum.
1. SugarSync Official SugarSync s Available for Windows Mac iOS Android BlackBerry Windows Mobile. SugarSync was released as apetitor to Dropbox which still is the most well-known solution for online data backup and synchronization. But as it turns out SugarSync does stand apart in this niche by providing some great features. First of all SugarSync apps are real italic . This means that each app allows you to do any standard operation on your files and not just view them like in some Dropbox apps. Secondly you can synchronize any folder on yourputer not just one and you can even synchronize stuff selectively. For example some folders can be synchronized on both your desktop and your laptop while others can stay laptop-exclusive. Thirdly it just as automatic and hands-free as Dropbox so you don even notice it working in the background. 2. Not only that but Bidsketch also tracks every proposal and notifies you when the client views it. This is great for clients themselves too because they get to approve or decline your proposals right away and even sign them electronically if needed. 4. Buffer Official Buffer Buffer started as a simple web app for buffering your tweets to be sent out throughout the day automatically. The idea was that not every part of the day is perfect to tweet and also that sending too many tweets one after another might put off your followers. Such things don sound scary for personal use but if youre tweeting on yourpany behalf then it a different story. Buffer has grown a lot since then and now lets you manage your Twitter Facebook and LinkedIn accounts all at the same time. Plus you get access to full analytics and click stats for every account. But the best part is that Buffer offers apps for iOS Android browser extensions and is even integrated into many other services across the web like Pocket Feedly Instapaper and most recently Followerwonk . 5. Pocket Official Pocket In my opinion it the best app for creating and managing your own personal read later list. The way that Pocket functions is very straightforward on the user part. When you stumble upon something you want to read later all you do is click a small Pocket button in your browser (or other device) which will save the article into your read later list. Then whenever you have a moment you can fire up the main Pocket list and go back to some of the articles youve saved. The power of Pocket lies in the number of available apps and platforms. You can get it as a browser extension an app for Mac a mobile app for iOS Android Kindle Fire WebOS and more. 6. Basecamp Official Basecamp In short Basecamp is THE project management tool of today. Microsoft OneNote for iOS or Evernote Official OneNote s and Evernote s Both of these tools are meant to make note-taking easier more accessible and functional. Microsoft thing is a new addition to the App Store while Evernote has been with us for quite a while. Im listing these tools together so you can make your own choice and pick the one that seems more suitable for your needs. There are some differences between them but the core functionality is the same. You can take a note any kind of note actually and have it synced to the cloud automatically. Both tools support pictures lists quick notes to-do lists and so on. OneNote notes can be created on iPad and iPhone apps as well as through the native desktop software 3 Microsoft OneNote. Evernote on the other hand offers apps for Windows Mac iOS Android BlackBerry and more so in some cases it can be the more functional choice. Actually my opinion is kind of biased because Ive been using Evernote for years and am quite used to it. 9. TopNotes for iOS Official TopNotes s Various visual note taking apps are very trendy nowadays. The idea is that you can work with your iPad or iPhone just like with a piece of paper. This means that you can select various pens pencils colors and create a great looking note incorporating your own hand-made drawings charts diagrams sketches or whatever else. The only problem with most apps like this that Ive tested is that there are simply too many in-app purchases. Usually you get just one pen and one color and if you want to customize your note in any way you have to pay (sometimes insane amounts of money). This is not the case with TopNotes and that why it made the list. It offers a number of brushes right off the bat and you don have to pay extra for the privilege to change the color. In short the app just works with no hassle. 1. AOL Reader or Digg Reader Official AOL Reader and Digg Reader Since Google Reader is now dead it about time to find a replacement. Now most people know about Feedly but I want to ge your attention towards two other tools that are also in this game AOL Reader and Digg Reader. They have very similar interfaces and very similar functionality. More than that the interfaces resemble the original Google Reader interface which is surely an intentional ploy by their creators. Both tools have their pros and cons though. Digg has an iOS app available but AOL gives you a more functional interface with some fine-tuning possibilities. In the end it up to you which tool youll end up using. I personally haven decided yet and Im constantly going back and forth between them. 11.
