How can I convert a PDF to XML?
Disclaimer Im the founder of s a software solution specialised in transforming semi-structured documents (invoices purchase orders reports ) into structured data such as XML CSV JSON. As already mentioned by other there is unfortunately no easy way to convert PDF to XML files. This is simply because the PDF format doesn include any structuring tags like for example HTML does. A PDF file includes in most cases just a flat description of the visual representation of its content. Which means that there are no indicators which would allow you to easily identify hierarchical data and key data points. Some PDF files actually do have XML data stored in their metadata though. For example electronic PDF invoices might have all relevant key data inside the document metadata. But at the time of writing PDFs containing XML data are rather the exception. But there are still ways to convert PDF to XML s ! You have basically two different problems here to solve First you need to get hold of all and s. The way we do it at Docparser is to check if we can extract data and pipe the files through a OCR library if no was returned. In either case I would rmend to rely on Linuxmand line utilities. While you might also find a Python library the Linuxmands usually work much better in my experience. In case we need to handle scanned s as well as hidden returned by the OCR. Once you are sure that the PDF file contains data you can use the Linuxmand line tool PDFToText s with the option - layout. You should then have a representation of your PDF file which has (nearly) the same layout. Convert Extracted Text Into Structured Data This one is difficult to answer without knowing your specific use-case. Converting unstructured or semi-structured into a XML structure can be easy challenging or impossible. It really depends on the kind of data your are dealing with and how granular the output needs to be. At Docparser we developed a set of tools that can help you transform PDF documents such as invoices purchase orders delivery orders etc. into fine grained structured data objects without any coding. How can I convert a Word to PPT?
Technically you can do that but not the way you want and there are two ways to do it . First includes add the word file as an object in insert menu then object and then create from file and then locate file and choose settings accordingly I mean you could create an icon that s to that word file or insert word file content as an image or technically an object. Second way is to click down arrow in the new slide under the home menu and then choose slidew from outline and then locate your word file this will add the content of your word file as that is editable spread across different slides and formatted as in word file but the slides won't ve exactly what you would expect every enter is kinda new slide. Hope that helps

How do I convert Word 95 era filesu00a0 to something that Word 2007-2011 can open (formatting somewhat intact)?
Eric has a pretty good on trying to convert the files. Here are a couple more I think they might just be duplicates of the info from Microsoft but here goes anyways. You can open old Office files with these settings Convert Older Office Documents to Office 27 or 21 Format Others have mentioned you can try using Google Docs or Open Office as well to try and import them. The only other thing I can think of to try is to use Microsoft Word Pad program. It is a fair bit simpler than MS Word and it might do better opening those old files. The only other thing I can think of is to use an intermediate version of Office such as 22 (XP) or 23 and use those programs to convert the document in their format. Then finally open the files in one of the newer versions of Word (273216) and convert them again. Personally I just get the sense that you are going to lose most of the formatting in those old Word documents just due to the changes made to the more current versions of Word Processing programs.
